Scholarship Terms for LCCI, ACCA-FIA & ACCA

The full terms, eligibility criteria, and maintenance requirements for every scholarship offered by Genesis Origo. This page serves as the official reference document.

All scholarships are subject to maintenance requirements — failure to meet criteria results in the scholarship being reviewed or withdrawn. Scholarship recipients are not eligible for the Merit Award Scheme (rebate based on study marks).

Section A · Merit Scholarships

SPM → FIA

SPM Students: FIA Scholarships

SPM students can qualify for FIA Scholarships, offering a range of awards based on the number of A’s achieved in their examinations. The scholarships cover a certain percentage of the Elementary Financial Accounting (FA) & Management Accounting (MA) Level Fees:

  • 9 A’s and above75%
  • 8 A’s60%
  • 6 A’s – 7 A’s35%
  • 4 A’s – 5 A’s25%
Maintenance Requirements (for FBT, FFA, FMA papers)

Please note, to maintain the scholarship for the subsequent level of FIA studies, students must achieve certain marks in their exams. Failure to do so will result in a loss of scholarship entitlement.

  • 75% scholarshipmin avg 85 in FA1, FA2, MA1, MA2
  • 60% scholarshipmin avg 80 in FA1, FA2, MA1, MA2
  • 35% scholarshipmin avg 75 in FA1, FA2, MA1, MA2
  • 25% scholarshipmin avg 70 in FA1, FA2, MA1, MA2
Applicant must be not more than 20 years old at time of application
SPM → LCCI

SPM Students: LCCI Scholarships

SPM students can qualify for LCCI Scholarships, offering a range of awards based on the number of A’s achieved in their examinations. SPM students would have to start from LCCI Level 2 before proceeding to LCCI Level 3. The scholarship is applicable to entire Level 2 and 3. The scholarships cover a certain percentage of the LCCI papers fees:

  • 9 A’s and above75%
  • 8 A’s60%
  • 6 A’s – 7 A’s35%
  • 4 A’s – 5 A’s25%
Applicant must be not more than 20 years old at time of application
STPM → ACCA

STPM Students: ACCA Scholarships (Knowledge Level)

STPM students aspiring to join ACCA studies at the Knowledge Level can benefit from scholarships based on their achieved grades. The scholarships cover a certain percentage of the Knowledge Level papers fees:

  • 3A – 4A75%
  • 2A and 1B60%
  • 1A and 2B35%
  • 1A and 1B25%
Applicant must be not more than 22 years old at time of application
UEC → ACCA

UEC Students: ACCA Scholarships (Knowledge Level)

UEC students aspiring to join ACCA studies at the Knowledge Level can benefit from scholarships based on their achieved grades (based on 5 best subjects). The scholarships cover a certain percentage of the Knowledge Level papers fees:

  • 4 A (A1 or A2) and 1 B375%
  • 3 A (A1 or A2) and 2 B360%
  • 2 A and 3 B335%
  • 1 A and 4 B325%
Applicant must be not more than 22 years old at time of application
LCCI L3 → ACCA

LCCI Level 3 Students: ACCA Scholarships (Knowledge Level)

LCCI students looking to join ACCA studies at the Knowledge Level can qualify for scholarships based on their performance. The scholarships cover a certain percentage of the Knowledge Level papers fees:

  • 3 Distinctions75%
  • 2 Distinctions and 1 Merit60%
  • 1 Distinction and 2 Merits35%
  • 3 Merits15%
ACCA Progression

ACCA Skills Paper Merit Scholarship

Students can also be rewarded based on their average marks in the Business and Technology (BT), Management Accounting (MA), and Financial Accounting (FA) subjects. The scholarships cover a certain percentage of the first 3 Skills papers:

  • Average marks of 86%75%
  • Average marks of 81% to 85%60%
  • Average marks of 76% to 80%35%
  • Average marks of 71% to 76%25%
Maintenance Requirements (for remaining Skills papers)

Please note, to maintain the scholarship for the remaining skills papers, students must achieve certain marks in their exams. Failure to do so will result in a loss of scholarship entitlement.

  • 75% scholarshipmin avg 80 in the 3 skills papers
  • 60% scholarshipmin avg 75 in the 3 skills papers
  • 35% scholarshipmin avg 70 in the 3 skills papers
  • 25% scholarshipmin avg 65 in the 3 skills papers
Applicant must be not more than 25 years old at time of application
ACCA Progression

ACCA Professional Paper Merit Scholarship

For those demonstrating excellence in Skills Papers, additional scholarships for Strategic Level Papers are available:

  • Average marks of 81% and above in Skills Papers75%
  • Average marks of 76% to 80% in Skills Papers60%
  • Average marks of 71% to 75% in Skills Papers50%
  • Average marks of 66% – 70% in Skills Papers25%
Exemption Note

For students with exemptions for skills papers, a minimum of 3 skills papers attempted are needed to compute the average marks for the purpose of merit scholarship application.

Applicant must be not more than 25 years old at time of application

Section B · Need-Based Scholarships

Up to 100%

1. Genesis Origo Benevolent (Financial Hardship) Scholarship

Eligibility & Criteria

  • Scholarships with a fee waiver up to 100% off tuition fees for high achieving Malaysian students who have financial need for higher education.

  • The applicant is Malaysian below 25-year-old.

  • Students applying for this scholarship are required to complete an application form, submit relevant supporting documents including proof of financial need.

  • Shortlisted candidates are required to go through an interview and selection process.

  • Up to 100% waiver on the applicable tuition fees and waiver of administration fee.

30% Waiver

2. OKU Financial Aid

Eligibility & Criteria

  • Malaysian with OKU card issued by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM).

  • Applicable for ACCA or ACCA-FIA or LCCI programmes.

  • The applicant is below 35-year-old.

  • If the applicant is employed, their monthly salary must be below RM4,000.

  • The applicant is eligible to register as an ACCA student with ACCA UK (applicable for ACCA programme).

  • 30% waiver on the applicable tuition fees and waiver of administration fee.

90% Waiver

3. Child of Single-Parent Scholarship

Eligibility & Criteria

  • Malaysian living with single-parent (household income not exceeding RM6,000).

  • Applicable for ACCA or ACCA-FIA or LCCI programmes.

  • The applicant is below 25-year-old.

  • If the applicant is employed, their monthly salary must be below RM2,500.

  • The applicant is eligible to register as an ACCA student with ACCA UK (applicable for ACCA programme).

  • 90% waiver on the applicable tuition fees and waiver of administration fee.

Up to 100%

4. Pastor’s Children Scholarship

Eligibility & Criteria

  • Scholarships with a fee waiver up to 100% off tuition fees for children of pastors/elders/overseers of churches in Malaysia which are members of Council of Churches Malaysia (CCM) or National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF).

  • Applicable for ACCA or ACCA-FIA or LCCI programmes.

  • The applicant is eligible to register as an ACCA student with ACCA UK (applicable for ACCA programme).

  • Students applying for this scholarship are required to complete an application form and submit relevant supporting documents.

  • Candidates are required to go through an interview and selection process.

Tiered 25–75%

5. Full Time Employees of Non Profit Organisations

Eligibility & Criteria

  • Scholarships with a fee waiver up to 75% off tuition fees for full-time employees or workers serving with recognised non-profit organisations.

  • Applicable for ACCA or ACCA-FIA or LCCI programmes.

  • The applicant is eligible to register as an ACCA student with ACCA UK (applicable for ACCA programme).

  • Students applying for this scholarship are required to provide a recommendation letter from the employer and documents to prove tenure of employment with the organisation.

General Terms & Conditions
  • All successful applicants are required to comply with exams performance criteria to maintain their scholarships. Failure to meet the conditions will result in scholarships awarded to be reviewed or withdrawn.

  • Scholarship Recipients are NOT eligible for the Merit Award Scheme (where rebate is awarded according to the marks achieved during studies).

  • Terms & Conditions apply for all scholarships. Genesis Origo reserves the right to assess eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
