Mr Low Chin Ann is a Fellow Member of ACCA UK, a Chartered Accountant of Malaysia, and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT). He also holds the ACCA Professional Diploma in Sustainability — a specialist qualification reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of the profession. He is an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer and holds a Diploma in Computer Science, reflecting an early interest in the technology that has since transformed the profession he teaches.

He is the Founder of Genesis Origo, a position he has held for over 25 years — building it into one of Malaysia’s most respected providers of ACCA, LCCI, and accountancy education. Throughout that time, he has personally lectured for professional examinations and degree programmes across Malaysia and internationally, specialising in taxation, auditing, corporate governance, and management accounting.

Mr Low has also delivered HRD Corp-accredited corporate training for a range of Malaysian and multinational organisations — both commercial companies and public sector agencies — on topics across his specialisations.

What distinguishes Mr Low from most ACCA lecturers is that he is also a practising Chartered Accountant. As Principal of CA Low & Co, he runs his own public accounting firm — meaning he applies the very tax and accounting principles he teaches, every single working day. He is additionally Director and Owner of Malaysian Pest Control Sdn Bhd, giving him hands-on experience of running a real commercial business with all the operational, tax, and compliance realities that entails.

His governance experience is equally substantial. He currently serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee at Kitacon Group Berhad, a listed company on Bursa Malaysia, and is a former Senior Independent Director of Analabs Resources Berhad. This means his teaching on corporate governance, audit, and financial reporting comes from someone who has actually sat in the chair he describes — not from a textbook.
