Ms Shireen Chong Siew Kuan is an ACCA Affiliate and a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (CMSRL) holder regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia. She is also a million-dollar club award recipient of AmSecurities Berhad — a recognition of consistent high-volume performance in the capital markets industry.

Ms Shireen began her career as an accounts executive in a construction-based company, where she developed practical exposure to financial reporting, project costing, and the operational realities of accounting in a complex industry. That early grounding still informs the way she teaches today — connecting textbook concepts to how they actually appear in a company’s books.

Today, she serves as the Chief Executive of Malaysian Pest Control Sdn Bhd, a long-established pest control company founded in 1967. The role gives her ongoing exposure to general management, financial decision-making, and the kind of cross-functional thinking that ACCA students will eventually need in their own careers.

Alongside her executive responsibilities, Ms Shireen lectures in both professional examinations and degree programmes at various reputable institutions in Malaysia. Students consistently describe her as reachable, friendly, and remarkably able to simplify accounting — to the point that even non-accounting students find her sessions easy to follow.
