ACCA Programme: Terms and Conditions

  1. In order to enrol with Genesis Origo (GO)’s ACCA program, the student shall complete all personal particulars required in our GO Portal including your personal identification document and ACCA status report (for existing ACCA students)
  2. As the course is online based, you are expected to have a min 3G Internet-Ready devices, including Android or iOS operating systems smart phones. It is recommended to access GO Portal using any Internet-Ready desktop/laptop computer or a tablet for the best experience. Our web-based GO portal runs on all commonly accessible browsers like Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge browsers.
  3. As GO is collecting your personal data, which may include sensitive personal data, please read Genesis Origo’s Personal Data Policy, which can be accessed HERE. You hereby expressly agree to our Personal Data Policy by accepting the terms and conditions of this enrolment.
  4. You will be given access to the resources you have enrolled based on the following:
    • One-year semester access for full-course (e.g if you enrol on 15-July-2022 for the Dec 2022 exam preparation, you will be able to access the resources up to 30-June-2023)
    • 6-month access for revision course (e.g if you enrol for the Nov 2022 revision course, your access will be given up to the end of May 2023)
  5. Extension of access for 3 months can be given at a fee of 20% of the original course fee. No further extension is allowed. However, re-enrolment of the same subject will be given a 50% reduction from the published course fee.
  6. The administration fee is imposed on each intake enrolment. For example, if you have enrolled for July 2022 Paper LW and subsequently would like to add an additional Paper PM for the same intake, we will not impose an additional administration fee for the additional paper. However, subsequent enrolment in another intake, for example, in Jan 2023, the administration fee will be imposed again. The administration fee is currently RM120.00.
  7. No Refund Policy: Genesis Origo (GO) maintains a strict policy of not offering refunds under any circumstances.
  8. Deferment – a request for deferment is allowed only if the request is made 1 week prior to the commencement of the 1st live class, where students have to submit a deferment request via our GO Portal contact form. Upon approval, your access to the enrolled subject will be discontinued, until being reactivated again, for the remaining duration. Max deferment of 6 months is allowed. No deferment request will be entertained after the commencement of the live class.
  9. Instalment – If you enrol more than 1 paper, you may request for Instalment option. An instalment fee will be imposed on each request. Currently at RM30 per instalment. Should instalment payment fall due, your GO Portal access will be discontinued and shall be reinstated once payment is effected. Your access expiry date shall remain the same.
  10. Merit award scheme – GO will credit GEM (at the equivalent value of a percentage of the course fee paid for the respective paper. The percentages are published in our course fee structure). These GEMs are used to offset future enrolment with GO. There is no refund of any unused GEMs. GEMs are not transferrable nor convertible into cash.
  11. Affiliate Program – You may activate GO Affiliate Program only if you have registered as a GO Portal student for a min period of 3 months. GO Affiliate Program allows you to recommend your friends to study ACCA with GO. Upon successful enrolment of your recommended friend with GO, you will be credited with 8,000 GEMs. These GEMs are used to offset future enrolment with GO. There is no refund of any unused GEMs. GEMs are not transferrable nor convertible into cash.
  12. Course learning materials – Lecture Notes, Past Exam Questions, and Revision Packs are downloadable from GO Portal. GO recommends BPP Workbook and Practice Kit as supplement materials if students wish to acquire them. You may purchase them from GO at our listed price.
  13. GO reserves all rights to change the composition of the lecturing team or class timetable in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  14. GO reserves all rights to deny enrollment of any student to study the ACCA program with us.
  15. Turnaround Time: Technical Support (within 30 hours), General Enquiry (within 48 hours), Other Enquiries via Contact Us Form (72 hours), Marking Turnaround Time for Tests and Mock Examinations (3 weeks).
  16. FREE TRIAL – upon successful registration as a GO Portal student, you are entitled to 3 free trial enrolments. The free trial is completely complimentary with no hidden charges, however, you will only be given limited access to view resources within the such enrolled subject and for a limited time of 2 weeks.
  17. Fees paid to GO do not qualify for tax relief in Malaysia.
  18. By enrolling on these courses you agree to allow ACCA to disclose to us the results of your examination. However, if you DO NOT wish ACCA to disclose your results upon which we will not include your info in the results service submission, please inform us by email with your ACCA name and ID with your expressed instruction to be EXCLUDED from the results service submission.
  19. If you have complaints in respect of the ACCA program run by GO, you may raise them through these steps (All complaints will also be recorded in the Student Complaints Logbook for follow up and reference):
    • 1st Step: [Lecturer or Course Coordinator Channel] Raise informal complaints to your subject lecturer or course coordinator.
    • 2nd Step: [Director Channel]  If the matter is unresolved, use the contact us form in the portal or use this LINK to raise the complaint which will be directly sent to our Director. You should receive an acknowledgement within 3 working days of such a complaint being lodged. Our director or any appropriate personnel of GO shall respond to you on the matter raised within 7 working days from the date of the acknowledgement.

    • Final Measure: [Regulatory Channel] If you have exhausted all the measures listed above, you can escalate to the appropriate regulator.
  20. Switching Subjects: The fee for switching subjects varies depending on the progress made in the original course:
    • A fee of RM400 will be levied if the original subject has been completed up to 20%.
    • A fee of RM800 will be charged if the original subject has been completed up to 40%.
    • No Switching Beyond 40%: No changes in subjects will be permitted if the original course has been completed beyond 40%.
    • Additional Costs: If the tuition fee for the new subject is higher than that of the original subject, the student must pay the difference in fees.
    • No Partial Refunds: If the tuition for the new subject is lower than the original, no refunds will be provided for the difference.
    • One-time Switch: Students are allowed to switch subjects only once for each course they are enrolled in.
