Common Future ACCA Questions

I’m currently studying ACCA. Will I lose progress?

No. ACCA has designed clear transition rules so your completed papers and exemptions carry forward to the new qualification. Use the official Transition Tool Calculator to see exactly how your progress maps to the new structure.
Should I rush to complete before July 2027?

Not necessarily. Both qualifications lead to the same professional outcome. If you’re making steady progress, just continue — you’ll transition smoothly. If you’re near the end of Strategic Professional, finishing under the current structure may be preferable.
What are the biggest changes I should know about?

Three key changes: (1) Knowledge Level uses on-demand CBE — sit anytime; (2) new specialisations in Data Science and Performance & Insights reflect modern tech-driven advisory roles; (3) Essential Employability Modules (EEM) are non-exam practical skills built into every level.
Are Genesis Origo lecturers preparing for the new syllabus?

Yes. As an ACCA Gold Approved Learning Partner, we’re working closely with ACCA as the syllabus rolls out. Our tutors are reviewing the new materials now, and we’ll be fully ready to deliver both the current and Future ACCA programmes throughout the transition period.
What happens to Oxford Brookes BSc and Advanced Diploma pathways?

ACCA has confirmed various affiliated qualifications will continue under the new structure, though some branding and awarding details may be updated. Check ACCA’s official page or the transition tool for the latest guidance on your specific award path.
Can I start ACCA now, or should I wait for 2027?

Start now. Delaying means losing 18+ months of progress. Any papers you complete will either count toward your current qualification or transition to the new one. We’ll guide your pathway planning based on your circumstances.
