How long does ACCA FIA take to complete?

Typically 9 to 12 months. Nine months is the fastest pace for focused students; 12 months works well if you’re balancing work or other commitments. Since the course is self-paced online, you control your timeline.

Do I need SPM or other qualifications to start?

No. FIA has no formal academic entry requirements — you just need to be at least 16 years old. That said, if you hold SPM Prinsip Perakaunan with an A grade (A+, A, or A-), you automatically earn an exemption from paper FA1.

Can I study FIA fully online?

What’s the difference between FIA and ACCA?

Can I skip FIA and go directly to ACCA?

Yes, if you meet ACCA’s direct entry requirements — for example, 2 A-Level passes + 3 O-Level passes, 2 STPM passes + 3 SPM credits, or equivalent qualifications. If you don’t meet those, FIA is your recognised entry route.

Where do I take the FIA exams?

FIA papers are delivered as Computer-Based Exams (CBE). Genesis Origo is an ACCA-approved CBE exam centre, so you can sit your exams directly at our Kuala Lumpur office under real exam conditions.
